Job Title: Softball Umpire Company: Location: Minneapolis, MN Description: The Minneapolis Umpires Association (MUA) is the organization that recruits and trains softball umpires for the Minneapolis Park District. The Park District adult and youth softball games operate under the rules of the Amateur Softball Association (ASA), the national governing body of softball. We are looking for people who enjoy the game of softball, or even baseball, to join the MUA and umpire softball games in Minneapolis at least 2 nights a week. We pay $23 per game for slow pitch and those games do not start a new inning after 55 minutes of play. We play games Sunday through Friday nights with a 2 game schedule for most nights. Must be able to be at the softball field by 5:45p (earlier on Sunday), have your own transportation to and from the ball field and know the rules of the game.
